Pro-Palestinian protestors blocked highway entering O’Hare Airport – Chicago Tribune/MSN

Travelers carry their baggage as they walk toward Terminal 1...Protestors gathered as part of a “multi-city economic blockade” opposing the war in Gaza blocked inbound traffic to O’Hare Airport Monday morning. According to a website designed for the April 15 protest, the action aims to “identify and blockade major choke points in the economy, focusing on points of production and circulation.”

It would make more sense if the protesters joined the fight, join Hamas/Hezbollah and really take an active role on their homeland. Protesting from afar then retreating to a local coffee house appears hypocritical.

Call them pro-Hamas protesters or pro-terrorists protesters. That’s more accurate.

There WAS a cease fire that Hamas broke on October 7th. Hamas has no honor.

This behavior needs to stop. Prison terms of 10 years or longer should do the trick. Or else just drive over them like a speed bump.

So these young people think it is cute to disrupt other people’s lives – other people not connected to the Middle East, and just going about their business. And no politician tells the cops to immediately remove these jerks from the roadway. Not the mayor, the governor, or the US Senator. Why fund an airport expansion if these politicians do not think it is critical infrastructure to keep open?

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
