Protests erupt as Chicago City Council again delays vote on calling for cease-fire in Gaza – Video – CBS Chicago

Protestors filled City Hall on Wednesday as the Chicago City Council debated and ultimately delayed a vote on a resolution calling for a cease-fire in the war in Gaza. There were other controversial measures on the agenda, but the resolution ate up most of the council's time.

City Council can’t achieve a cease-fire within Chicago itself, why would it be able to enact a cease-fire resolution for Gaza? Pure political theatre, meaningless Woke gestures that expend time and energy better served elsewhere on real Chicago governance problems.

At this point, I sort of believe the goal is to intentionally misgovern the city into ruins. They’ve made it very clear the city is the product of a century of systemic racism and they’re job is to destroy what is left, and little of Chicago’s century of history is worth saving.
