After Joliet rejected $8.6 million in taxpayer funds to help house and provide food to nearly 1,900 non-citizens, there are questions surrounding what the state should do with the money.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
That’s quite a euphemism; “non-citizen care.”
