Kwame’s ‘work of his life’ now is pure partisan activity, using taxpayer dollars to keep taxpayer dollars flowing into bureaucrats’ pockets.

Can anyone honestly explain how education got better since Carter “ created “ the DOE?

Well, it didn’t, but that’s because of the kids, their parents, and of course the bad voters. How can anyone succeed with all of these elements arrayed against them?

Maybe someday we’ll have a perfect society, and then we can educate our kids. Keep the funding coming, in case that day ever arrives.

Agreed, to an extent. However, letting teachers that can’t spell ( see the poster carried by a proud CTU member on today’s Second City Cop website ) off the hook as they congratulate themselves with awards, seminars ( play time ) sometimes overseas, and ( it seems ) yearly DEMANDS for more money, etc. doesn’t help matters much either.

Of course he did. I am sure he believes it is the wrong thing…oh wait, no, it is easier than that…it’s just do the opposite of what Trump wants to do. Illinois elected officials are just so predictable. Just doing the opposite isn’t a plan or solution. This state, local gov, school districts, etc., needs a course correction in the worst way.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
