Given this 10 AM Saturday shooting spree, likely outcome will be sharp decline in retail sales along Mag Mile corridor. Nordstrom and Saks and Bloomingdales and American Girl are reassessing their commitment to maintaining Michigan Ave stores. Oak Brook looks far more attractive as flagship store locations. The high-flyer shopper doesn’t come to Mag Mile anymore; our tourists have vanished altogether. Why maintain these stores just to host gangbangers and shoplifters?

They have to leave those stores open for the broken glass discount demanded NOL, National Organization of Looters.

The permanent victim class continues to commit crimes unchecked because Lori, Kim Foxx and Sophia King pander to criminals in exchange for votes from the south and west sides. This is why business or shopping will never return to the Mag mile or the loop.

It is unbelievable and disgusting that all involved leadership is allowing and encouraging the complete destruction of Chicago to satisfy the craven politics of race hustlers. There’s a big elephant in the room that needs some open discussion concerning crime, perps and recidivists. Thank you officers for doing your job.

We are not allowed to tell the truth about who is committing crimes. If you do you are called racist by the leftists. This city has been destroyed by Lori Lightfoot and the black caucus.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
