“I think as many have said, one death from COVID is one death too many. However, I think at this point in the pandemic, the kids are really what we need to be focusing on and keeping them in school and keeping them engaged,” one mother said. “You know, here in Chicago, we have such a big district, and it’s a complex district. And I understand that. But I think we need to get creative as to how to keep the kids in school. And unfortunately, that’s just not happening.”
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
