Adam Schuster, vice president of policy for Illinois Policy, explained, "Illinois has seen high taxes the past three years, and now this year he (Gov. JB Pritzker) is proposing temporary tax changes. He is promoting this as tax relief but amounts to a little more than an election-year gimmick."
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
