Report shows Americans still leaving high tax states like Illinois – Center Square

IRS data shows that between 2020 and 2021, Illinois, with the second highest property taxes in the country, experienced the third highest outmigration in the country, losing nearly 54,000 residents on net.

Keep those immigrants coming as Pritzker needs the numbers for his headlines. heaven forbid Pritzker’s Presidential aspirations be clouded by a State that has people moving out to escape Pritzker’s policies.

The problem is they never ask if people are leaving because of high taxes. Just because you leave a high tax state does not mean you are leaving due to taxes.

Pritzker’s mantra when it comes to residents leaving Illinois is deny, deny, deny. It’s ridiculous of course, but CBS, NBC, WLS and WGN lap it up. Those so called journalists from Northwestern are a joke.
