Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Buy a gun in Illinois, have state issued FOID card that has a background check. While purchasing a firearm a federal background check is done along with an additional state background check. A waiting period starts. You pay for the firearm and pay state sales taxes. Your background checks clear, the waiting period ends, you can pick up the firearm and the the next day you’re a felon. Makes sense to me.
It makes perfect sense, deplorable, when you understand they hate you, and want to put you in camps.
This is nothing more than political blackmail
Inner city gang bangers caught with illegal guns have all their gun charges dropped, repeatedly, until they end up switching guns with illegal switches to kill an off-duty cop. They got in no trouble at all for their guns, switches and ghost guns.
But you, the otherwise law abiding deplorable, they hate you, they want to throw you in jail, they want to destroy you and your life and your family, and make you lose everything, merely for owning a gun that was legal just a few short months ago.
Because remember, they hate you, deplorable.
