Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. It appears that most hate crime accusations that blacks make are hoaxes. The media jumps to publish them, but is silent about so many violent crimes committed by blacks against whites and Asians. vdare.com publishes a monthly list of these crimes. I watched the Sonya Mosely bodycam video that was in an earlier article. It appeared to be, at a minimum, unprofessional behavior by the white sheriff’s deputy, who has been fired and charged with murder. Trump should put out ads summarizing all the uninformed, questionable decisions Kamala has made on a wide variety of issues. It wouldn’t be difficult. She has limited intellectual capacity and has zero business being in any public office position. A Harris Administration would be fake, just like Biden’s. She would be a puppet for the extreme progressive left, and she’d be on a short leash given her propensity to say incredibly stupid things.
Studies have shown that negative political ads don’t really convince people to change their vote. Negative ads tend to demoralize the other side and result in lower turnout. However, the effect of negative ads seems to be declining as early voting and ballot harvesting offsets the demoralization that sets in before election day. The best example I can think of is Rauner’s amazing 2018 ads with the FBI phone calls with Blago played 24/7, and the other ad with all of our surrounding state Republican governors thanking Mike Madigan for making their state better. I wouldn’t expect Trump to waste much money in Illinois, the lost causes of all lost causes, but in swing states he will need to relentlessly hammer away. Harris will get plenty of free press from the mainstream media across the country. They’ll try to re-energize the working class Dems, trying to convince them that the disastrous policies of the Biden Administration had nothing to do with clueless Kamala. Trump needs to hang inflation and the border around her neck. Then move on to her inability to represent tge USA on the world stage. She has zero skills.
They can hammer away but they won’t sway one even one voter’s mind to change. The ads will only discourage Democrat voters from voting on election day after months of negative ads. But Dems bring ballot harvesting to the table, where Dem voters cast their vote weeks even a month or more before the election, and don’t have to endure the weeks of demoralization before election day, trying to discourage them from voting.
Think you need to point that mirror at Trump, it is very scary.
