A Facebook group, Operation Homefront, was set up by a group of retired officers to help current officers take care of errands while they're forced to work extra hours. Just five days after putting out the call for help, nearly 1,000 people have volunteered to walk dogs and do other chores.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
