Retiring Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White reveals the racism that shaped his legacy – WBEZ (Chicago)

Jesse White and TumblersJust as state government’s longtime Loop headquarters is a relic from another political era, so too is White, who first came to Springfield when Gerald Ford was president and, at 88, looks and acts as hale as he did during his first statewide run in 1998. Racism. That’s all NPR sees in Jesse White, a black victim of racism.

Not a successful man who, unlike so many of his peers, is untainted by scandal, but a victim of racism.

Such unmitigated hogwash!

There was a time we supported NPR radio and WTTW, no more. THEY are a big part of the media problem.

Stupid chickens.

Audio here.
