Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. It’s sad that Democrats in Springfield can’t let the local Republicans in conservative areas run their own local government. Springfield Democrats need total control even in areas where they don’t have very many voters.
Not much competition for DEMS on so many races. They have a lot of funding from both businesses and rich elites so they can use that money to further dominate and control the state at every level.
It is basically a One Party State.

Not sure why you are so against legal immigrants as you are a descendent of immigrants – legal ones I’m assuming. They probably came for a better life, worked hard and allowed their descendants, you being one of them, to also enjoy a much better life than where they came from. Immigrants have now become the boogie man for our problems and that’s just not true. And as a side note, most immigrants into the United States are not from 3rd world countries.
No more immigrants, not even legal ones. Not even one more immigrant. Deport anyone without legal status and don’t let in another immigrant for 100 years. Shut it all down. Right now, the United States has more immigrants – both in raw numbers and as the percentage of the population – is the HIGHEST it has ever been, and is more than any other country on earth right now.
