A close political ally of Melrose Park Mayor Ron Serpico, board member Sandra Ciancio has not responded publicly to the allegations made by contractor Michael D’Addosio that she engaged in possible bid rigging and allegedly solicited kickbacks.
How does a public entity, such as a School District, not follow up and check an accusation and claim by a contractor of a Board Member wrong doing? This may be sour grapes by the contractor, but then again…this is Chicago and Illinois. Even if it is a waste of time, for credibility purposes, they should look into it enough to confidently have a finding.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
