Sen. Dick Durbin pushing for improved safety for mail carriers – CBS2 (Chicago)

There were 154 robberies in 2021 - up from 36 in 2018. Durbin also wants to know why a rapid alert system to notify carriers if a crime was committed near their routes was discontinued in 2021.

Postal police were once respected by citizens and feared by mail thieves. Now, in Bidenworld where the Covid stimulus checks are mailed in mass on debit cards and stolen in mass by criminals, if yu report the theft, you get a post card from USPS police saying thanks we’ll look into it.

The mailman needs to pack (and I don’t mean mail) a service weapon like the cops get, ammo and range time as part of his job training!
