Can someone identify the supposed legislative accomplishments of Senator Durbin? Long tenure, and no legacy achievements. He’s constantly chortling about “rights” for his #1 interest: immigration reform to benefit his illegal alien favored constituency, and ignores the “bread and butter” issues of Illinois, like pension reform, like infrastructure reconstruction funding, like state residents’ onerous tax burden. His only successful real “action” has been getting Senator Duckworth, an even less effective senator, elected to her seat, to the further detriment of his voter-base. Both keep their chairs warm, but as party hacks.

Interesting…..a true and tried racist talking about canceling racism! Someone needs to ask ole DICK what he has done for Illinois over the past 38 years…….Zero Point Zero!

I’d like to cancel my subscription to Dick Durbin. Of course we can do better Dick! But we have 330 million people in this country, not to mention all the illegals you want to let in that have no means of supporting themselves. And you then question why bad things happen. What a posturing bag of manure DD is. He mentions 4 names, and then says it happens daily. He’s not very good with numbers, or anything else. Just retire already Dick.

He’s been in Washington since 1983. Does he even visit the state anymore?

And Chase is correct – whomever replaces him will be even crazier. AOC type crazy.

He is locked up in his chambers in the capitol and figures that everyone else are his underlings–ie just like lard boy.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
