Sergeant files whistleblower lawsuit over order to guard his boss’s Bridgeport home during riots, looting last year – Chicago Sun-Times*

The police lieutenant, when confronted about his use of cops to guard his home, said “Mind your own f------ business, this is my unit and I will do what I want with my people,” according to the suit.

Nothing to see here, the current CPD brass using taxpayer funded resources for their advantage. Just like Remington’s Steak House and the platoon assigned to the mayor’s residence, this current crop of CPD exempts acts with no oversight or accountability. Studies have shown that when the leadership acts in such an unscrupulous manner, the organization as a whole adopts the same approach, which is why the corruption in CPD cannot be rooted out, it comes from the top down. I’m not a lawyer but this guy has an open and shut case, depending on what he wants as a remedy. He’ll get cash probably, and deserves it. He probably cant get the commander fired though. But he and the media can be a major embarrassment for the brass and mayor, that annoyance will get paid off, for sure. Good for him.
