Serial burglar continues to target local businesses, get released under Pretrial Fairness – WAND (Decatur)

Nathan McClure has 14 burglary charges in 2023. Victim Gulshan Rai says the man has burglarized several local businesses and caused more than $110,000 in damage. But because burglary is a non-detainable offense, Macon County State's Attorney Scott Reuter says he doesn't have much power to keep offenders like McClure behind bars.

This is all on Governor Carnival Barker. He put the laws on the books protecting serial lawbreakers. He, and his entire sick twisted family, should be banished to live in the worst place imaginable. California.

He doesn’t care. You could show him this story, and he’d say OK, and then never, ever think about it again.

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
