Cash Bail has turned into nothing more then a cash cow for most Illinois Counties that gouges poor families and does little to protect the public. Bail use to be used as a guarantee that a defendant would appear for court if released and if they did the money was returned minus a small percentage for court costs. Today states attorneys are very aware of the bond amounts received and the fines included in sentencing reflect this. Yet, the evidence across many counties in many states clearly links low or no cash bail to repeat offender committing crimes after being released often with increasing violence and depravity.

This bill was written entirely by the black caucus with the intent of reducing the crime stats that reveal that most violent and serious crime is being committed by blacks. They and the politicians who supported this bill are more than pandering, they are kissing the behinds of the criminal element that is terrorizing society. Yet the irony is that if you defend yourself, you will be the one that is charged with the hate crime.
Best advice if you must use deadly force. If it is opportune to leave, do so. I was afraid, I feared for my life, I was in shock, I suffered from emotional trauma are valid reasons. Sad part is cameras are everywhere so there may be a problem. Just imagine if a dozen or so of these carjackers were left bleeding in the gutter, it may have an impact on those “yutes” pulling off these crimes. Of course the Sheriff’s comments are spot on, as he is focused on protecting citizens. Our legislators are on a different agenda, the globalist, social justice agenda of Soros, Preckwinkle, Foxx, et al.. The people will pay the price, as victims of crime.
