Anyone else getting fed up with use of the term ‘re-imagined?’
Overuse of all these P.C. terms in lieu of plain language is getting tedious.

Nice video, but 10 years too late or 10 years too soon. Chicago has become irrelevant. It does nothing, produces nothing, generates nothing but extremist politicians, bad legislation, corrupt unions, taxes and generations deep crime. It is a narcotics distribution hub. It needs to hit rock bottom and feel a cleansing fire. JB and the next clown show mayor, be it Mad Little Lori or Chewy will preside over the official death of the Chicago most people remember. It will wallow there for 5 years or so and then, hopefully, it will awaken. Then it will look like a cold… Read more »

Soldier Field is smallest stadium in NFL. This plan would increase seating to 70,000. For ten home games a year? And $2 billion? What other events the other 350 days/year will attract 70,000? I don’t see why the museum campus would want even more people causing congestion and lack of attendance like happens on game days now.
A smaller stadium may make sense. This statement applies to Chicago and places like DC, where the Commanders would be far better off playing in a modern smaller stadium rather than the faceless crumbling wreck it now plays in (it won’t happen in DC until the owner sells the team). The problem is that the Arlington site is going to be very difficult to compete against given the control factors and deal the Bears can cut there. Soldier Field was initially developed as a track and field facility. Not sure if the sight lines can ever be properly adjusted for… Read more »
It might not have been filled, but all the seats were sold. Bear fans are sadists, they show up in horrible weather, to a terrible location and mediocre teams. They would fill 70,000 seats, just like they will sell out again next year, despite this year’s 3-12.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.

They couldn’t fill up the stadium yesterday afternoon. Why add more seats when you can’t even fill the seats you have?

They still could sell more tickets so actual attendance for a bad season for a meaningless game on the last day of the season means nothing.
The real money for the owners is in the luxury boxes and premium seats.

3-14 but this season ticket holder wasn’t counting
