Soldiers staffing United Center vax site not getting enough food; Army working to fix problem with vendor – Chicago Sun-Times*

There are 222 soldiers, most from the 101st Airborne Division, who are staffing the vaccination site that opened Tuesday. The wife of one of the soldiers working at the site said one meal consisted of a small salad and an orange, and said her husband had lost weight since he’d been in Chicago.

There is a rumor going around that Da guv intercepted the trucks bringing the food to personally taste test each meal. He reportedly said, “I’m doing this for the troops,” as he tested every morsel of each meal except for the oranges and salad.
