Some restaurants say business down after proof of vaccine requirement starts – ABC7 (Chicago)

The owner of Nuevo Leon restaurant in Little Village has been getting pushback from some customers. "Their reaction wasn't what I expected," she said. She said after numerous complaints and customers leaving, refusing to show proof of vaccination, business is down 80% this week.

My wife and i were going to stop at a favorite restaurant of ours yesterday in Northbrook, but quickly decided nope with proof of vaccine, we drove north to Lake county and had a wonderful lunch! Screw Coo County and Chicago along with Highland Park.

“Just this week the Chicago Business Affairs and Consumer Protection department said they received 32 complaints and handed out 10 citations.” Those complainers are the real troublemakers.

Shocker! Imagine that, people do not want to be interrogated about their health.

Small business owners in Cook County need to get wise and push back on this tyranny.

Doing the dirty work of discrimination the government can’t do on its own is slitting your own throat.

Further, not standing up for yourself against the blatant discrimination against small business while big box business of all forms remains free and clear of the same coerced discrimination tactics is akin to bending over, taking it in the rear, and asking for more.

Band together, organize, and stand up!

Otherwise it’s a Faustian bargain.

How do you push back? Toni P. made her decision and she’s never, ever going to change her mind, and Democrat colleagues can’t do anything about it. I can’t think of any examples, pretty much anywhere in the world, where the vaccine mandates have been rescinded after resistance or demonstrations. Leaders just appear to double down even harder on their bad decision rather than ever admit they were wrong. This nonsense is going to continue as long as coronavirus is around, and if cv is here for a decade, the measures will only get worse. Most of the world has… Read more »

By challenging the legitimacy of the edicts through the courts, by letting aldermen know the lawlessness won’t stand.

By closing your business and opening up across the border (either the county or state).

Many in contemporary American society are too dumb or don’t consider there’s a reason Soviet occupied Europe needed walls to keep people in.

Cook county doesn’t yet have walls.

Living less than 10 minutes from the Wisconsin border guess where we buy gas, shop and dine.

Same here. I’m glad the interchange in Beloit is mostly done. Sales tax 5.5% and I see lots of Illinois plates at gas stations and in parking lots.

Let’s face it, anyone still choosing to reside in democrap occupied America is part of the problem. You say too dumb, I say too spoiled, too weak to leave. I say that with all due respect to the good people left behind. Eventually the money won’t be enough and “they” will leave. Might take a couple more billion dollar fed infusions but eventually Americans will get enough of the Marxist Democraps.

The King and his court can divide us all they want.
There are more of us than them.
Apparently the pleebs have not felt enough pain to really push back (yet)

Agreed. Everyone has a choice to either obey the King’s mandates OR not.
I am glad their business is down 80% – we need more of this!

IF a majority of Crook county businesses impacted by the Nazi vax passport said “no dice Adolf Pritzker”

AND a majority of consumers stopped patronizing the Nazi sympathizing business.

THEN this bullsh!t would end in less than 5 days.

I will not comply. I have not complied. Need many, many more to join me… make them feel the pain.

Spot On. The Power is in the people. I have told businesses that Mandates are not Law and the burden of proof is on the Health Department to PROVE that your business is a risk. They need to stand together against this Marxist Totalitarianism.

Exactly what I have been saying. These business owners need to ban together and not COMPLY. Hope they realize this sooner than later.

I feel no sympathy for the business owners who chose to open a business in a communist craphole; but the reality is that most of them are just trying to survive another month without closing. This mandate may be the end of them especially without any financial assistance. Fighting the system and getting fined out of existence only compounds their own problems. And while I say screw them, let them go bankrupt, I don’t want to live in a neighborhood with all the restraurnats and service businesses closed either. But if I can’t go in to the business because I’m… Read more »

I hope they all go bankruptcy and Cook County looks like 1990’s Robocop. The communists running cook county get what they deserve.
