State Police ‘Instrumental’ In Helping Chicago Catch Armed Robbers, Neighbors Told – Block Club Chicago

CPD Sgt. Mike Edens told neighbors that Chicago officers are being assisted by State Police because of their ability to more freely chase suspects. “There’s only two factors that State Police have when it comes to their pursuit policy: did the crime occur during the last 12 hours, and if it was a forcible felony,” Edens said. “Where ours, we have a list of things that people have to look into.”
