State Sen. Robert Peters: Chicago must remain a sanctuary city because ‘that is who we are’ – Chicago Sun-Times

"The convention is a once-in-a-generation moment for the city to shine. Instead, some of our city’s leaders are flirting with embarrassing us on the world stage and causing deep fissures within the Democratic Party, which needs to be unified to prevent Trump from becoming president for a second time."

Any disorder caused at DNC next August will be the fault of, GASP, all those right wing, President Trump supporting, MAGA, hat wearing, noose carrying troublemakers that are already causing Chicago crime rates to soar. Any bets on that prediction?

Peters is a STATE senator not a city alderman in the sanctuary state of Illinois. If he believes in all the sanctuary BS what is he doing to see that rest of state provides sanctuary to migrants and not just Chicago?
