State Sen. Sara Feigenholtz: Screening kids in public schools for mental health struggles connects intervention to prevention – Chicago Tribune*

"Illinois will be the first state in the nation to implement universal mental health screenings for kids and teenagers, and it’s the right thing to do. This will help us set up our kids for success in life so they can reach their full potential — empowering them and their families to identify their mental health needs at a time in their lives when they’re going to need support the most."

This program is entirely about brainwashing children that they are gay or trannies. The added benefit is that the perverts and pedophiles of Teachers Unions know who to prey upon.

These mental health screenings are to identify students not succumbing to indoctrination. Students should not be screened and labeled mentally ill by far left progressives. All parents should opt out of these screenings unless the parents see an issue. Then I would select a private provider if they can afford it.

Oof. Bunch of red flags with this, including trans issue especially. What from these evals could be withheld from parents and guardians? And about subsequent “care”.

If they are going to give the student’s mental health evaluations they should give them to the teachers as well.

Sadly, the faculty lounge is full of creeps, kooks, and degenerates.

This would be a great way to identify and remove all of the bad actors.

Screening children beginning at six months of age is inherently wrong and suggests another agenda. Gates came out and said what’s many libs think “ Your children belong to us.”

Another chance for indoctrination and eliminating the parents from the decision.

Progressives like this want to educate kids to believe that they are indelibly stained as racists, that their gender may not be what they think, and that they need treatment for mental illness. That’s a cocktail for disaster.

The largest correlation with development problems is growing up in a single parent home. What are these clowns doing to promote family values?

True, you can’t emphasize that enough, but our progressive masters in Illinois won’t say it.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
