Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. It’s either bribe to keep your mouth shut, or not laugh! Porky is very smooth!
Of course this is just plain wrong. Pritzker feels free to attack anyone who disagrees with him, and yet he does these incredibly questionable things. These are state employees, not employees of Pritzker Incorporated. Andy’s first job will be working on the plumbing in one of the many Pritzker mansions.
This is blatantly illegal and unconstitutional. this issue came up as soon as he was ‘elected’. It creates a situation where his employees are loyal and work for him instead of working for the interest of the state. This is exactly what Caesar did when he said that his troops should be loyal to him and not Rome. And look what happened. It’s a shame that no one calls him out for this. The fat billionaire is like Louis the XIV he believes he is the state of Illinois and all that happens in the state revolves around him.
Gee, where have I heard this same leadership concept on a much larger scale lately?
Biden?
