Much of the questioning from justices focused on the implications of what precedent a ruling in favor of the state would set. Justice Mary Kay O’Brien asked, “If the same situation were to arise somewhere else, you're saying that that discretion is going to be upended by the potential for a special prosecutor coming in, or special prosecution being commenced, which would, in circumstances like this, impede state's attorneys from exercising their discretion?”

I feel terrible for poor Jussie. He is suffering from what is clearly a case of judicial inequity. If he wasn’t a POC who could check multiple boxes on the right forms, he would have been judged guilty and forced to serve his time in short order, and this would all be over. Sadly, due to his privileged status as a FOB (Friend Of Barry), this case has dragged on in the hope it will all go away. Jussie is going to fight, cry racism, drag his heels and do whatever it takes to avoid the big house he should’ve been in at least six months ago. Foxx and “fixer”Chen instilled a false sense in him that he is above the law.
