Statements from Lightfoot, Preckwinkle, As Derek Chauvin Is Convicted On All Counts In Death Of George Floyd – CBS2 (Chicago)

The mayor posted her response to Facebook: "...I join my fellow Chicagoans, Americans, and human beings across the world as justice is being served in Minneapolis today. A jury of his peers listened to the evidence presented by both sides and came to the only reasonable verdict based on the overwhelming evidence presented by the Prosecution..."

The jury that was picked for the George Floyd trial was tainted before the trial was started, Minneapolis settles with family for 27 million dollars before jury is even picked, big mouth Waters statements that were made, jury only convenes for 10 hours, these jurors had there minds made up long before they convened never asked the judge any questions in regards to statements made during the trial, unreal, and yes Wolfnight I do believe his conviction will be overturned or a mistrial will result.

And how in the hell did Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton appear out of nowhere with the news media right after the verdict was announced who knew what possibly before hand to have these two racist clowns appearing out of the blue.

I thought it was strange that there were no questions asked of the judge.

FUN, Mr Chauvin made tons of mistakes but the press and prosecutors selected their footage to make it APPEAR that Mr Chauvin knelt on Mr Floyd’s neck. Mr Floyd was overdosed on Fentanyl & Meth that he probably tried to hide or swallow in his mouth. Excited delirium was his state & his enlarged heart plus the overdose killed him. Mr Chauvin was following procedure in trying to restrain him. Mr Floyd had swallowed the evidence before he freaked but his buddy had not told him the meth was laced with Fentanyl. IMO Mr Chauvin’s defense blew it by trying… Read more »

The judge had to go through well over 100+ potential jurors to find 14 (12 plus 2 alternates) jurors who said that they could be unbiased. They almost didn’t sit a jury. My guess is that the 12 who decided the case lied to the court because their minds were already made up. They intended to find him guilty no matter what. Because there is no way he is guilty using the reasonable doubt standard. The jury found him guilty of intentionally killing St. Floyd; and at the same time, negligently killing him too! Logically, it can’t be both! But… Read more »

Completely agree. The jury was also not sequestered.

Stop letting politicians spread Marxist conspiracy theories about systemic racism. It has created a victim complex in all POC. We live the greatest country in the world with the most liberties afforded to us.

Bang on Debtsor.

Mr Chauvin’s convictions will be overturned. Thanks partly to Biden and Waters and the real evidence being shown that Mr Chauvin knelt on the base of Mr Floyd’s skull and back for nine minutes, thus PREVENTING death by asphyxiation. Study the photos.

Leftists will then riot, and the circus merry go round will spin again until eventually people will have had enough.

We know all this is not what happened, Chauvin received social justice, not real justice, and everyone else will suffer as police are replaced with brown shirts that care not for crime but only social justice.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
