Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. See IL is number 1 in something (good job demorats)
I like where my new home ranks. Leave Illinois and come to Nebraska. Cost of living is much lower and pay is higher, roads are better, and hope is alive. Politicians don’t spend my money like drunken sailors and then shame me when I complain. Our Republican Governor is protecting the constitutional rights of nebraskans. No sellouts. And don’t forget the beef.
And can we get Madigan to pasture already…
How much has he stolen from this state btw?? Guess anyone??
JB!!! Lori!!! Listen up!!! #1 is not a good thing here!!!!!
Every current Illinois pol should be fired.
Any prior Illinois pol should have their pension seized.
And the proud, ignorant residents of Illinois all shouted together…..
We’re #1 … We’re # 1 … We’re # 1 …
