Still no prosecution of Pritzker-connected work comp fraud allegations – Center Square

Jenny Thornley faces criminal charges alleging overtime fraud from her time at the Illinois State Police Merit Board. Documents show Raoul’s office giving different reasons why they’re not prosecuting the case. Wednesday, at the Illinois State Fair, Raoul doubled down on the latest reason. “We are conflicted out,” Raoul said. “There’s only so many times I can say that.”

When you think the Feds must step in to see justice done, think again! Only this time think about the Madigan prosecution.

When The State declines to pursue recovery of fraudulently obtained civil damages on its own behalf (for taxpayers), private citizens may file a qui tam lawsuit to take action on the State’s behalf.
This is the only way to force discovery from corrupt State government functionaries.

***—at some point it is my hope that the federal authorities step in and conduct a full and thorough investigation,”—***

Asking for corrupt fed bureaucrats to investigate corrupt state bureaucrats…???

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
