Gordy Hulten, CEO of the Illinois Manufacturers' Association, said manufacturing is the largest contributor to the state’s gross domestic product and Illinois manufacturers employ more than 660,000 people directly and support 1.7 million jobs.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
