Suburban Chicago police chiefs back bill to ‘override’ Kim Foxx’s lax charging decisions – FOX News

"It's as if criminals are winning the war on crime in Chicago and Cook County," State House Republican Leader Rep. Jim Durkin said. "It's not because of police. It's because we have a prosecuting attorney who is choosing not to work with police and has turned her back on police on some many occasions."

That Austin neighborhood shoot-out, conducting literally in front of a CPD squad, proves gangbangers have ZERO FEAR of criminal prosecution for their criminal activities. Yes, it’s “open season” for lawlessness. In Foxx’s mind, criminals have far more “legal rights” than law-abiding average citizen.

This morning I spent a few minutes reviewing the the Chicago Clerk’s election data from 2020. The wards with the highest crime voted for Kim Foxx by the widest margins. For example, the Austin neighborhood, wards 29 and 37, gave Foxx respectively 77% and 87% of the vote. She also won most other African-American neighborhoods with 90%+ of the vote. Her base of voters gave her the margin she needed to overcome her 3 point loss in suburban Cook county to the Republican challenger. She is merely giving her voters what they want. They’ve made it very clear they prefer… Read more »

Election fraud is done where it’s easiest to accomplish, I.e., where poll workers and election officials are easiest to bribe and the voting population doesn’t know any better.

You then inflate the counts in those areas to help move the city and county vote in the direction you want.

This whole thing is like a bad movie. Criminals running rampant without fear of reprisal, while elected officials sit and watch on the sidelines, convinced that their woke policy agenda is capable of succeeding. There will be countless innocent victims that pay dearly for this ridiculous attempt to somehow reprogram the population. In the end the ringleaders will collect their winnings and move away from the mess they created.

Communism is the flavor of Democrats, supported by Hard Left philanthropist donations to the communist cause.

Unless I am mistaken Kim Foxx was elected by the people. The police should listen to the represenative of the people’s desires and not try to override her decisions. It is the will of the people; who are the police that are refusing to ignore the desires the voters?

“Unless I am mistaken Kim Foxx was elected by the people.”

That’s what the combined total of the city and suburban clerks tell us…

And…

Who is Kim Foxx to ignore the laws, duly voted on & enacted by the *peoples* representatives…?

Her offices arbitrary enforcement of only certain laws, does not lead to confidence in the system…

Our confidence in the system is irrelevant. The Bolsheviks didn’t inspire confidence in 1919 after taking the reigns of power but they ushered in 70 years of communism.

They may at some time be able to overrule a rejection of felony charges but when the case gets to court who is the prosecutor? The charges are usually always dismissed. The Cook County States Attorneys office does not like being told they were wrong.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
