“I am thrilled that we can bring back our iconic music and food festivals, as well as hundreds of other events,” Mayor Lori Lightfoot said in a statement. “This will help to bring a sense of normalcy back to our city and revitalize the local economies of our neighborhoods.”
Not going because I can’t eat in a restaurant legally and sit on the beach with no mask. Also on principle I won’t spend money in Chicago, I won’t support authoritarians, nor will I pay god knows what these days just to park.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
