Syverson casts lone ‘no’ vote on bill to allow politicians to use campaign funds to pay for child care – Center Square

“I want to send a message to all working women who struggle that paying for child care is difficult and a big item in a family budget. Why should politicians get an easy pass while those that elect us continue to struggle?” state Sen. Dave Syverson said. “We should not be taking advantage of anything when those who elect us don’t get the same benefit.”

Great, then cancel all pensions. After all why should any elected official or public employee get anything better than the taxpayer. Give them all 401k and self managed accounts.

So now we’ll have wealthy labor unions subsidizing child care of their preferred politicians who will then be voting on legislation favorable to said labor unions?
