Tempers flare at community meeting on migrant shelter opening in East Hyde Park hotel – Chicago Tribune/MSN

Wallace Goode argues with Doris Lewis during a meeting at The Promontory in Hyde Park on Aug. 30, 2023, to discuss a plan to turn the Lake Shore Hotel into a shelter for recently arrived migrants.“You all are just tragically tone deaf to everything you’re saying,” one resident told Deputy Chicago police chief Stephen Chung and newly seated Ald. Desmon Yancy.

Good article at Mercola’s about the border crisis and sanctuary cities/states. PDF it (middle of article) if you want to save it. Comments are good but only on the main article not the PDF. P.S. His articles are only up for 48 hours.

Sanctuary cities are all righteous until the sanctuary winds up on their block.

I’d like to see a new twist to the concept of ‘you get what you voted for’. My suggestion for the city — base the decision on which neighborhood to house the illegals on the % of votes Biden got in 2020. 95% of Hyde Park voted for Biden and his open border policy, therefore, Hyde Park should be at the top of the list.

Democrats telling Black citizens to squeeze in and make room for illegals on the Plantation. Most will just fall in line and take it-Democrats know this.

Chicago’s murder and other violent rate would be a fraction of what it is now if the blacks were replaced with illegals. The illegals, and their American born children, today and in several generations, will have a murder and violent crime rate about 1/5th to 1/10th of black citizens they are replacing. Laredo TX, for example, is 95% hispanic, and has a murder rate of 3.84 per 100,000. Chicago’s over all murder rate is 19 per 100,000 but if that’s misleading, because the white murder rate is less than 2 per 100,000, and the hispanic rate is less than 5… Read more »

That’s the irony about the great replacement. It’s not the whites being replaced, rather, it is the blacks that are mostly being replaced, with far less violent newcomers.

The Tribune reports that:

Where to house the waves of migrants that have been arriving in Chicago since last year has been a contentious question at times.”

“at times.” Hmmm – meaning that it’s not ‘contentious’ on other days? Really?

I don’t believe that any discussion which accepts using the words ‘migrants’ or ‘asylum seekers’ to describe who these people are will ever be anything other than circumlocutious gaslighting.

The Tribune and Sun Times are simply Pravda propoganda departments of the Democrat Party. They would never utter the truthful phrase “criminal illegal immigrant” any more than they would say “Wuhan Virus” or “Stolen election”.

It looks like the black voters who have put democrats in control of the city, county and state may have figured out that the Democrats want them in the back of the bus.

‘Black voters who have put Black Democrats in control of the city….may have figured out that the Black Democrats want Blacks in the back of the bus’

Silly, and stupid, isn’t it?

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
