The C.D.C. Isn’t Publishing Large Portions of the Covid Data It Collects – New York Times

"Much of the withheld information could help state and local health officials better target their efforts to bring the virus under control. Detailed, timely data on hospitalizations by age and race would help health officials identify and help the populations at highest risk. Information on hospitalizations and death by age and vaccination status would have helped inform whether healthy adults needed booster shots. And wastewater surveillance across the nation would spot outbreaks and emerging variants early. Without the booster data for 18- to 49-year-olds, the outside experts whom federal health agencies look to for advice had to rely on numbers from Israel to make their recommendations on the shots."

Is Donald Trump psychologically sound? One of the grimmest moments in one of the darkest chapters in the nation’s history and a thorough pleasure for trump occurred on January 6, 2020. Many have explored his mental fitness and the psychology of his most ardent followers since he took office, so it’s no surprise the riot delighted him. Scores of us do not hold a degree but are aware of the recipe that is trump. His narcissistic interaction and shared psychosis are what makes him hungry for adulation. trump’s attention-seeking compensates for an inner lack of self-worth as he projects grandiose… Read more »

It’s interesting that you chose to comment on psychological soundness, despite that topic having nothing to do with the article.

Long TDS, hahha! Incurable! Terminal! But as for long covid, there’s some reality to that condition. There was recently a study using Xenon gas showing that lungs sustained damage not otherwise seen on a CT or Xray and that might be a cause of the fatigue and some lingering cough or lung issues. Some of long covid is triple-masked psychosomatic covidians. Some doctors have also claimed to have found coronavirus cells present in major organs throughout the body during autopsy. My position on long covid has changed since this all first started and I’m coming around to it being more… Read more »

It’s difficult to fathom that we live in a time, and era, where Joe Biden has politicized the CDC, and it can no longer be trusted, because it has been weaponized, and now is targeting Joe Biden’s political enemies. This is not hyperbole. It is fact.

Call get vaccinated and stop being an aghole. 89% Of people in the hospital with Cove it are unvaccinated. They Needlessly take up beds for people who genuinely need them through no fault of their own. In addition they are causing medical health insurance companies to raise the premium rates to pay for their care. Basically that means higher insurance premiums passed along to everybody even those who get vaccinated. Get your head out of your blowhole

Again, bad statistics erroneously applied.

I believe a term for this is ‘victim shaming.’ By your standards smokers, drinkers, the addicted, the homeless, and the obese should be denied care in lieu of ‘ … people who genuinely need them through no fault of their own.’

That’s a slippery slope.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
