Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. The state’s existing buyout program for its own pensions is the precedent for Chicago, which should be a warning: Look out for similar exaggerated claims and shoddy analysis.

I fully support some form of reparations but only if they are paid by the Dutch, British, French, Portuguese, and Spanish governments, furthermore all the decedents of Jewish, Arab and African slave brokering and ship financiering families should be tracked down and made to pay or face jail time. The country I wouldn’t demand pay is the United States of America who first inherited the problem then sacrificed 700,000+ of it’s own people to end it.
How in the world can only true descendants be eligible if even they don’t know if they are and will need to research if in fact they are? It’s a skin color thing and is unconstitutional on its face.

Billions of dollars have been spent to supposedly raise the blacks from poverty, crime and other issues. None of that ,money did a damn thing. Wasted so let’s waste some more. What’s forever broken can’t be fixed.
States should not foot the bill for reparations. This is just a ploy. “They” know that most Black people cannot trace their lineage beyond a certain point. Notice the states “studying” the issue had a smaller population of American Slaves historically. The US government, state governments, local municipalities, and private business to make sure Americans Descended from Slaves were socially excluded. Richard Rothstein’s book, The Color of Law, painstakingly details this collusion. The book was not written to make the case for reparations, but provides 100% the legal basis for reparations. Reparations is just the latest fraud that Democrats use to keep Black votes — even though every city run by Democrats has left Black families worse off every year.
And the race hustlers, poverty pimps, grievance grifters, and social justice charlatans are already testing out their new arguments to keep the reparations racket going — even after the Supreme Court — and overwhelming popular opinion — have declared that it’s time to stop fighting racism with racism:
