The Cruel and Unusual Punishment Of Prof. Jason Kilborn by U. Illinois-Chicago John Marshall Law School – Legal Insurrection

"UIC has imposed a reeducation and supervision program to publicly humiliate and demean a professor that would make the Maoist Red Guards blush. It is psychologically torturing a professor just because it thinks it can."

I hope the Professor Kilborn continues litigation – from my view, the college is creating a hostile work environment and has documented it for the court. I think the BLSA should also be sued.

Looks like he is going to sue.

“Kilborn wouldn’t comment on whether he planned to take the training, but he told the ABA Journal that he planned to file a lawsuit. He said he had to hold the public institution accountable for abuse of due process, lack of fair notice and mischaracterization of facts.”

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
