The Dick Durbin Bellwether – Wall Street Journal

image"The No. 2 Democrat in the Senate, Dick Durbin of Illinois, said Wednesday he’ll retire after the 2026 elections, and how the party replaces him could suggest whether it has learned from its drubbing in November. Mr. Durbin is no moderate, yet Illinois Democrats in the age of Trump II could also be in the mood for a more combative leftism, in the style of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez."

Durbin has been sucking on the public teat since 1982. A disgusting person. Hopefully a medical emergency will erase him from the gene pool.

The only twisted plus that would come from a rabid lunatic leftist replacing little dick Durbin would the accelerating of the demise of Illinois.
It needs to hit bottom before people vote smarter. And a lunatic leftist senator would do that.

Dirtbag Durbin a high water mark of integrity for Democrats? Durbin was in on every hoax and fake impeachment effort of PDJT and his colleagues. Durbin has the integrity of a hyena.

Whomever the DEM’s run, that will be the next Senator from Illinois.
The White population is almost split and the non Whites vote overwhelmingly for the Democratic.
Sorry, but that is the reality.

Both of them need to go. DickWorth needs to retire and get the hell out of office. Neither one of them does anything for the tax payers of Illinois. Actual tax payers of Illinois get very little for the enormous amount of total tax paid.

Au contraire! Dick was quite harmful on many occasions unlike a real lump like Biden that saved up his destructive tendencies until he was shuffled into the WH.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
