Not one mention of the most powerful force pushing race in public education – the teacher union. Moving beyond this article if the constitutional amendment (Amendment One) at the top of the November 8, 2022 ballot passes, the teacher unions will likely attempt to negotiate a wide array of race and gender items into collective bargaining agreements. At a place like New Trier, CRT is merely virtue signaling. The beneficiaries are teachers and administrators who feel better about themselves as progressives. But it doesn’t advance in any way the educational prowess of students. Of course, at a place like New Trier the students and their will make their way notwithstanding the foolishness. The well off can survive bad ideas, which typically have bad bad consequences for the non well off.
