The rightwing plan to take over ‘sanctuary’ cities – and rebuild them Maga-style – The Guardian

Unleash new police forces on cities like Washington DC, withhold federal disaster and emergency grants unless they follow immigration policies like detaining undocumented immigrants and share sensitive data with the federal government for immigration enforcement purposes.

It’s The Guardian, folks. Consider the source. Not to be taken seriously.

And the Left Wing plan, already in place was to take over cities, by attracting, and protecting people (criminals) who illegally entered this country..

Sounds just like the Biden and Obama Crimnal Administrations taking over school districts via proxy through their goon squad at the Department of Education by withholding federal tax dollars for school districts not acquiescing to allow mental disordered trannys be in the wrong locker/bath room…the difference being that the left is foisting crime upon us while the right is protecting us from crime.

Citing the actions that Joe has already taken and selling it as being a blue print for a MAGA takeover. That’s rich.

Time to bring back the three strikes law.
These punks need to learn the hard way,
If you do the crime and don’t learn, go away
For the rest of your natural life.
Problem solved.

“The anti-DC sentiment is predicated on crime rates, which, after reaching a peak in 2023, is down this year compared with last year, DC police data shows.”

LOL Crime peaked last year, nothing to see here, time to move on

The Guardian is one of the most “hard left” publications, they are just about at the level of Jacobin, which is a commie rag that I read for laffs… this Guardian article is typical, as it borders on parody…

Really? Like unelected bureaucrats at the Department of Energy or Education passing laws, rules, regulations and mandates asopposed to our elected legislators doing so?

“This part of the project is another Republican attempt at a crackdown on so-called “sanctuary” cities, places around the country that don’t cooperate with the federal government on enforcing harsh immigration policies…”

What is this “so – called” bit, as they *are* indeed sanctuary cities… anyways, this all sounds like a *great plan* to me…

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
