Editorial: ‘There’s no control in the city’ – Crain’s*

"The status quo cannot continue—and, considering the downward path we are on, it's not even clear that the status quo is the worst possible scenario we face. We're a nation that over time has been politically atomized, one faction set against the other, so perhaps it shouldn't be surprising that our elected leaders are not much better than we are at figuring out what's wrong and working together to fix it. But this is the job the mayor asked for and ran hard to win, and the credentials she brought to that campaign included her track record on the Police Accountability Task Force. So she can't change the subject anymore. She can't escape her own accountability. She must demonstrate that she understands the gravity of this moment and is capable of meeting it."

Things are going to get very interesting depending on the outcome of an FOP agreement. When few of Lori’s demands are met, who does the community blame ? Lori or the cops. Could this be a sly maneuver to keep everyone hotted up at the cops? Lori could declare the cops are giving the community the finger.

Hello, SJW Crains, you’re missing the point once again.

Chicago’s problem isn’t “no control”, there’s too too too much “control” coming from our SJW/BLM/WTF mayor, hampering police efforts, too too too much “control” from Foxx, Evans, Preckwinkle, et al in regards to BLM/SJW agenda. Civility is absent, victim of “white privilege” rhetoric, and in exchange we get “rage in the streets” rhetoric to justify lawlessness, violence, and disregard for public safety.

Once again, Crain’s is missing everything. Crain’s is mistaking No Control for an orgy of progressive fantasies. This is exactly what the city wants and they want more, not less of it. Lori’s massive security detail is because progressives don’t think she’s gone far enough. She doesn’t fear conservatives. She fears left wing progressives who are upset she hasn’t completely dismantled the police department by now. Can the ‘journalist’ at crAins be so dumb not to see this?

Foxx is a bigger problem than Lightfoot. Career criminals know Foxx’s office won’t do anything and Crain’s has their head in the sand thinking the problem is only in the city and not extending to Cook county suburbs. Even the collar counties are having crime issues what with the Cook-controlled state legislature enacting crime-friendly laws.

Progressivism means the living standards get progressively worse.

That is why I do not follow Crains. Their reporters and columnists are not the sharpest tools in the shed. Often just promoting an agenda. Predominately left leaning.

Jesse Jackson has many slogans, including:

Keep hope alive,

Up with hope, down with dope,

I am somebody!,

If not you, who?,

Act globally, think locally.

Hey, Crains– wake up . She has already demonstrated she does not understand the gravity of the situation and is not capable of dealing with it. What more proof do you need than her dismal track record. We are long past any learning curve opportunity for her.

Crains slithers out of the shadows to share the obvious. Where’s the Rev. JJ ? Shouldn’t he be on a shakedown tour? Even he’s too embarrassed to be see with Lori. I bet if you could shrink JJ they could be twins! Hmmmmm..

Rev JJ can hardly talk anymore. It’s all mumbles. He is ready for a senior advisor position in the Biden administration.

Just another example of why Lightfoot is in over her head. Stop and frisk worked in New York. We need to try it here.

Please review the recent new Illinois laws about police. Just about everything one expects a cop to do as a cop is now pretty much illegal. If the lightbulb in police officers heads havent lit up already they will soon when the first cops get indicted by States Attorney Foxx (that’s a joke) for violating one of the very minor provisions of the new laws and end up catching felony charges for a report that was not correctly prepared. Policing in Illinois is over folks.

The hardest thing for sheeple to accept is their political leaders and the puppeteers (e.g., public sector unions, globalist business interests) that own them have absolutely no interest in improving their lives. They do not care about you.

Embracing that truth is a critical first step to understanding the cause and effect of what you see happening around you.

A statewide concern: Illinois’ population decline outpaces neighboring states – Wirepoints on ABC20 Champaign

“We are not in good shape” Wirepoints’ Ted Dabrowski told ABC 20 Champaign during a segment on Illinois’ latest population losses. Illinois was one of just three states to shrink in the 2010-2020 period and has lost another 300,000 people since then. Ted says things need to change. “It’s too expensive to live here, there aren’t enough good jobs and nobody trusts the government anymore. There’s just other places to go where you can be more satisfied.”
