The meeting follows an active weekend for police, responding to multiple unsanctioned parties near the Illinois State University campus and in public parks. These loosely organized events promoted on social media reached a tipping point during ISU’s homecoming weekend as one of the parties turned fatal.
How about instead of pushing them out so that they can regroup elsewhere, you lock them up for being in the park after dusk, possession of drugs/ alcohol in the park, public intoxication and undoubtedly possession of weapons. Cram them into cells so tight that they can’t breathe and let mommy and daddy bail them out.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
