Eliminate all pensions and start on a new path for the next generation of taxpayers. Pensions are the kiss of death right now.

Taxpayers should not be forced to pay for Democratic vote buying. Let the public pensions go bankrupt, the restructure them into something that is sustainable.

The state owes the public employee pensions per the 1970 IL constitution—even if any such pension system goes broke. The pension systems are merely managers created as a management convenience, but the state is ultimately the responsible party for all such obligations. You may well know that, but it’s likely many others don’t.

If only teachers knew as much about how to teach kids to read as they know about their pension rights and the 1970 IL constitution…
