Ozinga was one Republican candidate I thought could be very competitive in a run for statewide office. Moderate with a strong suburban base, owns a company that requires good relations with trade unions. He had been quietly building up funding.
There was some dust up w/ him and mailers and the IL GOP.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
