The Tinley Park village board Tuesday adopted an ordinance that grants police the power to ticket bus operators or impound their vehicles if drivers attempt to make an unscheduled stop and unload passengers. The new ordinance also requires bus companies to provide background checks of their passengers.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
The Federal government doesn’t give a rat’s patootie who they allow into our country, but Tinley Park expects background checks on bus passengers?
Hey, Tinley Park … perhaps you haven’t heard, Illinois is a sanctuary state.
All are welcome!
“The new ordinance also requires bus companies to provide background checks of their passengers.”
Our government should look into this novel approach.
