Top Biden EV Bus Maker, Lion Electric, Nears Bankruptcy, Leaving School Districts and Tens of Millions of Taxpayer Dollars in Limbo – Washington Examiner

Lion also halted production at its 900,000 square-foot manufacturing facility in Joliet, Illinois, which opened less than 18 months earlier in a ceremony that featured Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D.) and Illinois Sens. Dick Durbin (D.) and Tammy Duckworth (D.). Pritzker said during the ceremony the "future of Illinois relies on dependable clean energy jobs" and local officials said the plant would bring 1,400 jobs to the region.

So when do we think the IL. press is going to call these elected officials out . Asking them how much kick-backs $ they received.

The media are clearly in bed with the political animals. This media bestiality fetish keeps critical headlines out of the mainstream.

Another huge Pritzker L. Most people would acknowledge their mistake and make a course correction, but not the Governor with the fragile ego. He’s doubling down, with taxpayer money, on electric buses. An arrogant nob is all he is.

And this is what CTA is doing as of yesterday. I heard on the radio CPS is buying more EV buses.

https://www.chicagotribune.com/2024/01/16/cps-to-buy-green-buses-with-federal-grant-but-driver-shortage-remains-a-challenge-for-worn-out-parents/ Why are the parents worn out? They should take their own kids to school. Not sure if CPS already received the money but if they did they will rush to buy EV buses before they may have to pay the money back because of Trumps executive orders.

I saw this as well, Fred. Good on you for making the connection. With all this type of wasted taxpayer money by the Executive Directors, I’m starting to hope for the fiscal cliff so we can get out of all these idiotic deals in service to the Climate Religion.

JB learned nothing from the last election. DOGE needs to come to IL to expose all the waste given to his buddies and all the wasteful left friends. The indication in IL in the sewer, along with the finances.

Pritzker The Duck and The DICK. All three need to pay for this stupid waste of time. They need to be voted out of office. They knew this would not work from the beginning, no oversite or protections for our tax dollars and interests. Great job… Hundreds of Millions of dollars…what a corrupt crock.

It is too bad this is happening. Illinois needs all the help they can get in creating jobs.
EV’s are the future of transportation, but Illinois will not be part of it.

Unfortunately the battery technology and elec grid are not there yet for the masses and these large vehicles! But eventually will be the standard in 5, 10 or 15 years?

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
