“Adam was devoted to bringing transparency to government," the nonprofit said in a statement. "He walked away from business 15 years ago with a singular idea: hold government accountable to the taxpayers it serves. He founded OpenTheBooks to accomplish that task. He was a happy warrior."
Thank you for so many dedicated efforts and successes, Adam! You will be missed🌹

Was waiting for an article on here. Surprised it took this long. If it weren’t for the work of people like Adam, and those working at Open the Books, we’d probably never get to read or hear details like current IRS and Federal employees owing over 1.5 billion in back taxes..

Big loss. He broke many cases of government malfeasance with well researched, indisputable facts and figures. His work didn’t get enough attention. Hope his replacement is equally dedicated.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
