I don’t know the legality of Trump sending the national guard nor do I know if he really wants to do that. Maybe. Probably. But he is intentionally and expertly illuminating the crime issue in Chicago and putting Johnson and Pritzker under harsh light and a microscope. That has great value politically, it forces them to double down on failing policies that harm public safety, especially among minority neighborhoods, . further exposing them locally and nationally. And if they don’t he’ll beat them like a drum in the media for their corruption.
But Dems would rather their citizens face rampant crime than actually work with Trump.
