Trump scraps plans to send National Guard to Chicago for now, says they’re going to Memphis instead – CBS2 (Chicago)

Friday morning, Gov. JB Pritzker tweeted in response to the Memphis news, "It's disturbing that the President is hellbent on sending troops onto America's streets. Using those who serve in uniform as political props is insulting. None of this is normal."

It’s also not “ normal “ to spend billions of dollars on illegals against the voters wishes, be elusive as to why your “ balanced budget “ never is, hire thousands of people for permanent positions with temporary covid money, raise already sky high taxes on a whim and spurn Federal help with out of control crime while asking the more Federal money. And then there’s that whole toilet thing…

When Memphis’ crime numbers fall, and Chicago’s rise, over the next 6 months, JB and Brandon will have lots of splainin’ to do.

Today an illegal alien was shot in Chicago after attacking an ICE officer during a traffic stop. He drove his vehicle towards the officer dragging one and severely injuring him. If this is normal behavior as JB describes it then it is imperative that Federal intervention be instituted. Attacking law enforcement officials by those here illegally needs to cease along with all the other senseless violence in Chicago. JB has failed the people that elected him; lets hope he is not reelected.

Folks might not like it, but Trump backing down is a big win for JB, Brandon & crew

Maybe so, they can spin it as JB “stood up to Trump”. On the other hand, if Trump decides he’s NOT going to send National Guatd troops where they aren’t wanted…. how much of a fascist dictator can he be? Kinda undermines that argument, I would think.

No it’s not! That Trump will clean up other cities while Chicago remains the Killing-fields, will provide horrible optics.

“ We chased off an opportunity to fight crime more effectively! We won!”. Sounds like progressive/ socialist thinking in a nutshell.

Phew…JB, BJ and their coddled Criminal lovers and Criminal Illegal Alien scum can safely attack Chicago taxpayers and victims for a bit longer. A Democrat AKA Communist goal achieved and their priorities exposed. Taxpayers can suffer, die and pay up.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
